Coed Varsity Cross Country · Girls Cross Country finish in 2nd Place Boys in 6th at AAAA State Finals


SEAHAWK LADIES CROSS COUNTRY TEAM RUNNER-UP IN THE STATE MEET:

The Hilton Head High School Girl’s Cross Country Team finished 2nd in the State Meet today in Columbia, S.C., by one point.  James Island had 67 points and Hilton Head had 68.  Leading the way for the Seahawks was Cynthia Gudaidis in 3rd place, Sarah Neville in 5th, Laney Duncan in 7th, Reagan Gilman in 16th, Alex Hall in 51st, Amanda Magnin in 62nd, and Pressley Ann Childs in 76th.

Making the All-State team were Cynthia Gudaidis, Sarah Neville, and Laney Duncan, by finishing in the “top 15 runners”.

 

Leading the Seahawk Boy’s team and making All-State, was Max Struna in 9th place, followed by Kyle Martin in 24th, Will Lemire in 29th, Caden Thune in 47th, Jaxon Arns in 59th, Nick Gariti in 68th, and Miles Brown in 87th.  As a team, the boys finished 6th with 129 points.

 

The future looks bright for the program, as Sarah Neville is the only Senior on the team. She has been a great performer and leader on the girl’s team and will definitely be missed.
